He is from department of biotechnology. He had finished his PhD from IIT Bombay and Masters from IIT Kanpur and published research papers and books in the field of infection biology and environmental biotechnology. At present aims to new range of therapeutics against infectious disease. Further, he has qualified for four national level fellowships and exams which includes GATE in which he secured All India Rank: 11. The other exams qualified by him include NET, DBT-JRF and AICTE-NDF.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai (India). Worked as a postdoctoral scientist at Laboratoire de Synthèse Bioorganique, Illkirch (France). He later joined Sai Advantium Pharma Ltd, Pune, as a research scientist. He then joined Jaypee University of Information Technology as assistant professor. His research activities focus on (a) the development of new synthetic methodologies using metathesis, coupling reactions, and C–H activation, (b) the design and synthesis of new molecules against antibacterial drug resistance, and (c) Natural products, Nanotechnology, biofuels. He has supervised two PhD thesis and eighteen postgraduate theses. He is a member of the Chemical Research Society of India, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the American Chemical Society. against infectious disease. He had done graduation in microbiology and masters in environmental science. He then completed his PhD from Center for Environmental Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay on arsenic removal using naturally present groundwater iron.
His research include de-centralized wastewater treatment technologies, modification of UASB reactor for treatment of low strength wastewater, development of sustainable in-situ lake and nallah cleanup methodologies, advanced oxidation processes and heavy metal and fluoride removal from groundwater. He has five international journal publications, three book chapters and also holds two patents.
